Urgent Safety Notice
Alberta Gas Codes and Standards has released a safety bulletin regarding Fireplaces from Canadian Fire Hearth Inc and Luxor mfg. Inc.
Fireplaces by Weiss-Johnson is here to help see if this safety bulletin applies to your home. We can walk you through what to look for over the phone or we can come to your home for a fee of $60 plus GST. We will be looking at the following:
- Does the serial number on the rating plate fall in line with the Alberta Safety Bulletin?
- If this does apply, we will turn off the gas supply to the fireplace and tag the shutoff with “Do Not Use Fireplace According To The Alberta Safety Bulletin”.
- Show you the phone number to call on the Alberta Safety Bulletin.
- Supply a copy of the Alberta Safety Bulletin by hard copy or email.
- Answer any fireplace related questions.
